Social media and blogging has made it very easy for a consumer to complain about a product or service and to have it seen by so many people that the company involved needs to made amends quickly. This is not a post about something that a company has done badly. Instead, I wanted to tell you about the most amazing parcel I received instead!
So last week, I finished jury duty early and headed up to the Triangle so I could pop to Waitrose for lunch. I bought two cartons of Jimmy’s Iced Coffee (because it’s really good, and because I hadn’t tried the gingerbread flavour) and headed towards the bus stop. While waiting for the bus, I tried to open one of the cartons, but this happened. I tweeted it to Jimmy with a photo, and he asked for my address. Obviously the correct response to this was ARE YOU GOING TO SEND ME A PONY.
HOW AMAZING IS THAT :D The inside of the card called me Hailstones as well, which I haven’t heard used in quite a few years. I wasn’t actually expecting anything from my photo, so it was quite nice to receive a few cartons as well.
(Haven’t heard of Jimmy’s Iced Coffee before? It’s yummy – like those iced coffees from Starbucks, etc, but much tastier, and less full of random ingredients – the Starbucks drinks you can buy in shops have a long ingredient list but the Jimmy’s cartons have only a few recognisable items on there. The gingerbread one is my favourite at the moment – delicious hot or cold! )
