Maui Photo Dump

maui15

What better time to post about a holiday we took a year ago then when we’re all sequestered and I have no reason to not edit down a million photos into this photo dump.

Next week I’ll post about what we actually did, with links, just in case you’re planning a trip to Maui as well!

The view from the plane as we flew into Kahului Airport
Before we ate on the first night, we watched the sun set on the beach and pinched ourselves!
The view from the lobby bar on our first night.
The view every morning as I walked down to the main pool/beach area
If you’re going to drink cocktails before lunch on the first full day, they should at least be in a pineapple.
There were three pools at the hotel, the main one, the kids one (didn’t even see that one) and the adults one which had an infinity edge and a swim up bar. We spent most of one day there and it was awesome.

Aquarium

Alex got certified to scuba dive and the Maui Ocean Center offers the chance to swim in the shark tank and see them up close and personal. There are some excellent videos from his dive!
This was so funny – those kids were like IS THAT MAN GOING TO GET EATEN BY THE SHARKS?! and I was like um I hope not?
Alex made a friend in the shark tank

Hana

The Road to Hana was something that lots of people recommended. We did a tour bus guide out and then flew back on a helicopter around the south side of the island on the way back which was awesome
The south side of the island. We got a video of the journey back which only took about half an hour

Sunset Cruise

We went on a sunset cruise from Maalaea Harbour which was lush

Feast at Mokapu – Luau at Andaz Maui

Such an interesting event – the luau was held on the green at the Andaz at sunset so you got some amazing views with the performance
Wailea Beach, which is the beach outside the hotel. Just so amazing.
