A massive cliché but here's a photo from the plane of our new home! Hello Seattle/Bellevue!We're checked into the @wbellevuehotel for tonight and it is beautiful – the street style art everywhere is making me miss Bristol just a little bit more! I've been up for 22 hours but don't actually feel tired (at the moment!)

It's been a while…Last week, Alex booked us in for our first date night in at least 2 and a bit years at Altura on Broadway – they do a tasting menu and each plate is as beautiful as the next. It's definitely a bit of a splurge, but since we've missed out on celebrating at least 4 birthdays, 2 job changes and 3 anniversaries since our last visit, it seemed like the right way…

The eclipse was pretty awesome today (although I couldn't get any photos) but more excitingly, I was sat in the garden as the moon moved onwards and a hummingbird came right next to me to feed! I've been trying for 2 months to get this bird on camera!
