HtCC – Signs

No, not the Bloc Party song that I had on repeat for too long and now can’t listen to it, but some beautiful pieces of jewellery by Chao & Eero Jewel a Finish company.

The SIGNS silver collection was inspired by the frequent use of emails and mobile phone messages. People use different signs to communicate their moods. Since the Internet and mobile phones have become a part of our daily life, these signs also become out mutual and international language

I’ve blogged before about how I love typographical elements in jewellery so of course I want all of these pieces, but here are a few of my favourites.

I think my favourites are the smiley ring and the apostrophe necklace. Which do you prefer?

Well now I’m embarrassed. I thought I’d put the link in here to the website where you can buy them. Eero, one of the makers left a comment with some links on how you can buy the items. You can also go to this Facebook page or just email [email protected]

HtCC: Mano Bello

Etsy’s a pretty dangerous place. While there is a lot of…well, to put it politely, crap on there, there are so many gorgeous things. Everything in this post is from a little store called Mano Bello.

Beautiful soft leather – the only problem is I’d like everything! I think this bracelet has to be my favourite piece though:

HtCC: Maria Cristina Bellucci

Pencils as jewellery. Not something I would ever have thought of looking in my pencil case at school, but this is why I am not a jewellery designer.

More information is available at mcbjewellery.com – doesn’t it make you think about how other simple objects can be put together to make something unusual?
