We Are Stars

T-shirt: Howies, Jeans: H! by Henry Holland*, Shoes: Converse

From dresses and make up last week to jeans that are way too big and a bare face. This is the first pair of jeans I’ve worn in at least a year (excusing jeggings – I know lots of people hate them, but at the same time, because I wear long tops, they don’t notice they are jeggings) – they were only £6 in Debenhams, but are 2 sizes too big. Oops. I have a bad habit at the moment for buying things too big, purely because I’m too lazy to try them on and assume sizing is wrong anyway. I tried to steal one of Alex’s belts, but it didn’t fit! I need to fatten him up.

Why am I posting such a blah outfit? I was thinking about the #todayimwearing hashtag in the week – it seems like a way to post as many brand names as possible in a tweet. I realise the irony of that when above I’ve listed what brands I’m wearing, yet it doesn’t seem so obvious in an outfit post. No one ever says “I’m in a holey old t-shirt of the boyfriends and pj bottoms” or “wearing: leggings that have a small hole on the knee”.

Anyway. Things I liked this week!

Whats everyone up to this week then? We’re probably off to watch Transformers later at CdL – I had wanted to see Bridesmaids, but I saw it last night and it was DREADFUL. I honestly can’t understand how this movie has gotten such good reviews. Thats 2 hours of my life that I’ll never get back. The only interesting bit was the bloke from the IT Crowd being in it, and a kid from a Nickelodeon show you probably don’t watch as the stepson who’s on screen for 10 seconds. Thats how bad it is.

Dress: Vila, Belt: Too old to remember!, Shoes (can you even see them?!): Mel

This week has been…meh. Nothing bad happened especially, but there wasn’t that much going on really. Alex came home on Tuesday (yay!) and thats about it really. I was supposed to go to a launch party on Thursday but felt too ill after lunch so went home a bit early, only to find that I’d left my keys on my desk that morning and Alex was stuck in meetings until half 9. Great. So I sat on the back door step for 3 1/2 hours, huddled inside my cape with my brolly over my bag as it rained a few times, reading on my iPad!

So what’cha dooooooing?

Rain Rain Go Away

A lazy day today – so lazy that I’ve done photos of my new PJ’s instead of an outfit photo! I can barely stand at the moment from blisters caused by walking in new shoes.

Unfortunatly I didn’t win the Freya Blog Star competition – but I was sent the above set for being a finalist. Its so comfy. I don’t normally like to wear vest tops for PJ’s, but this has a support band bit inside and padded straps which makes it more comfortable. The bottoms are pretty awesome as well – they’re long enough for me without having to wear them like hipsters.

Alex went to Las Vegas on Monday, which has meant I’ve been trying to see lots of people after work – on Tuesday I went out for dinner, on Wednesday I did karaoke (sober, with someone I’ve only spoken to via Twitter – thats one way to break the ice), on Friday I had milkshakes at Rocotillos (OM NOM) and last night I went to All About Pig after winning a ticket on Twitter.

It was so fun – I’ve never been to anything like it before and had only met one of my dining companions before! Everything was so delicious as well, I was so stuffed by desert time. I was glad to have quite a walk back into town to get the night bus home!

Things I’ve liked this week (despite not having much time to read any blogs, bah!):

I’m overwhelmed from the response to my Race for Life post – I’ve already raised £175 out of my £250 target (perhaps I should adjust it?) If you’d like to donate, please visit my Race for Life page

Right, cup of tea and some toast I think!
