Whats The Birthday Version Of Santa Anyway?

No, seriously. I’m turning 28 on the 12th (WHAT. That is ridiculous. How am I 28 already? I still feel as dumb as I did at 18, just with more debt, more body weight and about the same amount of money in my purse.)

So, dear Santa like birthday fairy, I’d like the below items please, thanks, ta.

Remember! 12th September! Presents!

HtCC – Signs

No, not the Bloc Party song that I had on repeat for too long and now can’t listen to it, but some beautiful pieces of jewellery by Chao & Eero Jewel a Finish company.

The SIGNS silver collection was inspired by the frequent use of emails and mobile phone messages. People use different signs to communicate their moods. Since the Internet and mobile phones have become a part of our daily life, these signs also become out mutual and international language

I’ve blogged before about how I love typographical elements in jewellery so of course I want all of these pieces, but here are a few of my favourites.

I think my favourites are the smiley ring and the apostrophe necklace. Which do you prefer?

Well now I’m embarrassed. I thought I’d put the link in here to the website where you can buy them. Eero, one of the makers left a comment with some links on how you can buy the items. You can also go to this Facebook page or just email [email protected]

HtCC: Manymals

I have to admit, I was first drawn to this collection by the packaging.

“Manymals” is a collection of five different stirling silver animal shapes made in California by Markus Diebel. They were created out clay, then digitized, reduced in size and then cast in silver. I love how each shape is so soft looking, fluid looking?

The animals in the collection include a snake, a sloth, a bat, a gorilla and a koala. I think my favourite has to be the koala, although I’m quite drawn to the snake.

Each necklace costs $280+shipping and can be bought directly from the designer
