Hi there! 👋

I recently realised it’s been years since I properly introduced myself here. If you’re new (or just forgot who I am because I barely post 😅), hello again!

I’m Hayley - a Brit living just outside Seattle with my husband, Alex, and our three chaotic (but very cute) dogs. I started this account ages ago to share outfits, life bits, and things I was loving. These days, it’s evolved into a bit of everything, really.

I’m trying to break out of my homebody era and meet more lovely people - so if you’re nearby and up for a low-key hang, especially if you know a good spot with a decent brew - count me in!

A few fun things about me:
🫖 I’ll always choose tea over coffee (but still love a good coffee shop)
📍 I live just outside Redmond, but I still hate driving in downtown Seattle (to be fair, I only learned to drive a month before moving to the US in 2017!)
💻 I’ve been blogging since 2000… I know. (hi, ceriselle.org 💜)
🐶 If you follow me for aesthetic content, just know there’s probably a dog snoring off-camera (when they’re not trying to get in the photo, obviously)
🎙️ I try to keep my accent toned down, but it definitely gets stronger when I’m excited

Last month was the first time we’d been back in

Last month was the first time we’d been back in the UK for a proper visit since moving in 2017, and it was so good to see everyone but nothing makes me feel like I’m home quite like seeing the Eastgate Clock.

We went back for just over a week, and fitted in visiting as many friends as possible, which meant driving from London > Bath > Devon > Aberystwyth > Chester > London ... well, I didn't get to drive but you know what I mean!

I hadn’t visited @ladymcakes before, but when @mynameisaiko invited me to be her +1 at a preview event, how could I say no? We sampled the newest flavours, which include Rose, Strawberry (probably my favourite!), Lavender, Berry Mont Blanc, Dassai Blue (which has sake and white chocolate in, yum!) and I had a perfect London Fog latte to go with it.

A few weekends ago, I jumped in my car and did my longest solo drive up to Blaine, WA to join other members of @creatorscollectiveseattle for a weekend retreat at the gorgeous @semiahmooretreat. I have to admit, I was a little nervous (you’ll probably recognise this now as an ongoing theme with me going to these sort of events!) but I had a lot of fun!

Blaine is where the border crossing into Canada is so this would be the perfect location if you were driving north and wanted to stop somewhere. We actually stayed just down the road last April when we headed up to Vancouver and Whistler (swipe to see the view from the hotel we stayed at then of the Peace Arch, which is on the border)

Connecting with and learning from these girls was a great way to spend the weekend, and the light and airy property was the perfect place to stay with a larger group, especially if you were going to head on further into Canada. Thank you for hosting such a fun time @creatorscollectiveseattle and @semiahmooretreat, lets do it again soon!

First big electric car trip done last weekend (after 6 years of owning electric cars 😂). Walla Walla was so fun, less fun was the single stone that chipped the Rivian windscreen so badly that it needs to be replaced. Views from the passenger seat in happier less cracked times!
