Achievement: made it out of the house! I had my ACL reconstruction surgery last Tuesday and have spent most of the time since then on my sofa watching a lot of TV. Yesterday I had my stitches out and then drove (!) to Seattle to see @shipshapebf who is here for a few days! Walking from Pacific Place to Pike Place Market was slow and painful but this ice cream was worth it. (Go see…
We had friends over for dinner for the first time and I introduced them to such classics as Yorkshire puddings, Bisto gravy and Birds custard (because life is too short to make real custard). They all went down well then we played a lot of Cards Against Humanity where I had to explain the UK edition!
Feeling pretty mis after being told that I did tear my ACL last weekend and surgery is the best way to deal with it. I’ve never had any surgery before so I’m pretty scared, and I’m getting frustrated that I can’t exercise as much as normal (and the dogs are grumpy they’re not getting their walks where we saw this pretty blossom!). Advice welcome!
