It’s dark and grey and damp outside and we have snow and temperatures that won’t reach over freezing due this week so I’m thinking about our holiday last year, and thinking about where we should go this year! (Oh yes. Apparently we do holidays yearly now instead of every 9 years ) I’d like to go back to Maui, but Alex is talking about Lanai (the next island over). Tell me about your favourite holiday…

Hello 2020. I haven’t gotten dressed since the last decade and that’s awesome . 2019 was just a year. I’m struggling to think of things I’ve done to be honest and the last few months of the year involved two losses. There were some excellent times though, especially more travel in a year than I’ve done in the past 10 years! Hoping 2020 is a more memorable year (but only in a good way thanks)

My top nine pics of the year had a surprising amount of my face! Maybe next year I’ll remember to post a bit more often on the grid, but probably not.

Sadly, we had to let Fern move on to the great fields in the sky on Monday. She was 13 years old and Alex had owned her since she was a few months old. We’re all pretty sad over here (including the springers!) but we know she had a good life. Goodbye little Pig, you were a very good (and funny) little pupper.

Merry Christmas! Hope you had a good day, whatever that means to you. We had a fairly quiet chilled day with our friends after a heavier night yesterday with the inaugural lasagna and tiramisu bake off (our freezer is now very full of lasagna!) – the past few weeks have been stressful with travelling back to the U.K, etc. However that trip did mean I could pick up some British treats, so excuse me while…

I don’t buy this whole “Seattle is dark and grey all the time” thing. Is it like the Seattle Freeze, something to tell people to warn them off moving here?Yesterday I drove into downtown to take Alex his new laptop because he had been giving me updates on it since it arrived at UPS in Shanghai last week, so he gave me a tour of his new office and their deck space. If I worked…

I used to post a lot of food on here, but stopped because to be honest, I just don’t go out that much now! Getting out of the office to get something nice for lunch was the highlight of my day! (My colleague told some clients that I was a food blogger and I had to correct him by saying ‘no, I just like eating) Here’s my lunch from the other day, chicken and waffles…

On Saturday I visited the Amazon Spheres again, and I’m still fascinated by these views of plants inside and grey buildings outside. Google “ceriselle spheres” if you’d like to learn more about visiting – I’m surprised that there still isn’t more information around for visitors!
