The pieces are made by selective laser sintering, which allows a ball within a ball to be created. Watching this video shows how the items are built up.

Francesca Pasini has created a map of New York City using Regina Spektors lyrics – I didn’t realise how many of Regina’s songs mention New York!

Unfortunatly it seems to be all sold out at the moment, but you can wait (impatiently!) for it to come back into stock on her website.

Despite having various computers from the age of 5, the way that I remember how I learnt to type was on a giant old rusty typewriter of my mums. Before we got our first Windows PC (when I was 13), I had an electric typewriter which I used to write up the very important stories that I wrote about hamsters (probably – we were obsessed when we were in primary school about the secret life of hamsters!)

It seems a little cliche now, but I’d love to have a typewriter on display in my office – even better if it actually worked.

Beg Bicycles is based in Cambridge and not only sells bikes, but also the accessories in the photos – baskets, cool boxes, and even a mozzie spray holder! Its a bit shallow, but beautiful photos like these make me want something more than your standard stock style photo. Anyone else?

There are two styles of bikes for the ladies, the Bella (above) and the Betty (below). Bella costs £675, Betty £725 and both come in the same three colours, Flirty 30′s Green (a minty shade), Chalk (off white) and Persephone Pink (strawberry lip balm pink). At first, I preferred the Bella style, but after looking at the styled photos (see, it makes a difference!) I think I prefer the Betty now!

Everyone has played Pac Man at least once in their lives. Pac Man is 30 years old this year, and as part of the celebrations (did you play on the Google Doodle?

Moleskine has released some limited edition notebooks to celebrate this. The notebooks come with certain graphics on the front, and little stickers with things like the ghosts and the fruits (I’m sure theres a technical term for them, but you know what I mean)

The Moleskine website says they’re available from their Asian website, but thankfully good old Amazon has them listed. I love the little 4 “Volant” notebook’s in a gift set (which are the top pictures of the thin coloured note books) and since my normal Moleskine is the black ruled book, the black pocket sized ruled notebook with Pac Man on the front is perfect!

I admitted at the weekend on Twitter that I love flow charts, venn diagrams, and pie charts. Which might be why I love this image so much. I want a poster sized version next to my desk.
