Ribbons and Pearls

A quick make this evening, to match my outfit this weekend (I bought a lovely grey satin and black jersey dress, oops!)
I saw a necklace in Topshop recently where it had some large beads tied onto a ribbon. It looked really cool, but as a crafting type person, I just couldn’t spend £15 on something that I could do myself.
On my way home today, I stopped by Primark (oh my GOSH I love the new Bristol store.) and picked up a £2 faux pearl necklace, which had larger beads in the middle and gradually got smaller. I cut the string, and chose the 7 large beads from the middle of the necklace. With a drill bit, I made the holes larger, and threaded the pearls onto a bit of ribbon I had. A knot after each bead, and I soon ended up with this:

So instead of spending £15, I spent about £2.50. Which totally justifies buying my new dress, right?

That’s a fab idea. Looks really good! Totally justifies the dress (not that new dresses need much justification!)
