If you’re reading this, then you probably want to know a bit more about me. Except I have no idea what to actually say here, so erm…lets see.
My name is Hayley. I’m 29 (which seems so old in the blogosphere!) (isn’t that an awful word? But how else to describe this little world?) (I like brackets) and I’m originally from Chester. Chester is a nice enough city, but a bit touristy.
I went to university in Aberystwyth, Wales (its surprising to me how many people don’t know where Aber is. Its pretty much straight across from Birmingham on the Welsh coast.) I studied Business Finance, which was essentially accounting and finance and economics. Not many people took this subject which is why no one has a clue what I mean when I say what I did! I work in accounts, which I know most people think is lame, but to me it just makes sense. (If you’re interested, this is my LinkedIn page.)
I currently live in Bristol, with my boyfriend Alex, and his sock obsessed kleptomaniac spaniel, Fern. Bristol is such an awesome city, there is so much to see and do here, and its so handy to get to places like London.
I have been making websites since I was 14, I think my first site was on Angelfire and was a Buffy fan site (weren’t they all back then?) I started blogging on Livejournal in April 2001 – which is scary to think I’ve been doing this for 10+ years!
For someone who’s blog usually gets classed as a fashion one, I am pretty useless with fashion. I have little confidence in the outfits I put together so you’re unlikely to see regular outfit posts from me – although I am trying! I love fashion and all that goes with it – the good, the bad and the ugly. Especially the ugly.
If you are really that interested in me, here is my life story for all you stalkers. Its easier than having to repeat everything, and I am quite lazy.
I love a good cup of tea and a nice cake. I obsess over kitchen gadgets, Mulberry handbags and technology. I use Twitter far too much. I can easily be tempted to take part in a Singstar session (I’m queen of Raparoke), drink a gin and tonic and wear a lovely dress.
I think that’s enough about me for now – how are you?
